I enjoyed reading this novel because it is always moving at a steady pace and stays interesting. Each character introduced has their own unique background that makes for an exciting and captivating plot. And with a twist you'd never expect, the book holds your attention. My favorite part occurs towards the middle after Cosmo has been with the supernaturalists a while and starts to get used to life free from the orphanage.
This book is a pretty simple novel thats easy to just pick up and read. And with no sequels or prequels its easy to just dive into. Its also a relatively short novel that makes for a nice light read for trips (No I am not trying to sell this book).
Eoin Colfer does a great job with detail and suspense in this novel. With a science-fiction adventure theme from Cosmo's perspective Colfer does a great job keeping the first-person theme consistent.
I would recommend this novel to anyone who just needs a book to read, for say an English assignment that needs an easy quick read as I read this book over the course of one week. And Eoin Colfer has many different books, like the Artemis Fowl series set in a similar setting but completely different plot.
The Supernaturalists seems as though it would be my kind of book. I enjoy books with action and a captivating plot. Also, I like that the book contains some science-fiction and adventure. The plot of this book seems to flow well and to keep the reader intrigued. The fact that The Supernaturalists contains plot twists makes me want to read it that much more. I like that The Supernaturalists is shorter than most other books so that I may be able to read it in a short amount of time. As Daniel said, it would be a great book to pass the time while traveling. I also like that there are no prequels or sequels so that I wouldn't have to wait for a long time to read the continuation of the story. The Supernaturalists seems as though it would be a good read and I think I will stop by the bookstore sometime to pick it up.
